(MAGNUM) This Cabernet Sauvignon from the Tietjen Vineyard in Rutherford offers fantastic aromas of rich, ripe, red berry fruit with undertones of sweet vanillin oak and hints of caramel. On the palate, the wine is massive, with a wonderful core of fruit on the full mid-palate. The balance of the wine from front to back is impeccable. The finish is long and carries the fruit beautifully.
(MAGNUM) Our Corley “Yewell Vineyard” shows off the tremendous intensity from this vineyard. This 100% Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is a full, rich, complete wine. Boasting a complex range of red and dark fruits, the wine also shows roasted nuts, coffee and toasty oak. This full bodied wine should age effortlessly for many years to come.
The wine is fragrant with red berries, slightly spicy notes, hints of nutmeg and vanilla; flavors of dark berries, herbs and spice, hints of vanilla carry through to the palate; and the mouth-feel is very nicely balanced and rich.
Our CORLEY Proprietary Red Wine is, in a sense, a contemporary wine - a wine that while
collectable for long cellaring distinguishes itself by showing opulent fruit and rich texture
earlier in the wine's life. We trust that you will enjoy it from the moment that the wine is
released as well as in the years to follow.
As ever, for a true and pure 100% single vineyard bottling, this Vintage 2003 exhibits all the classic Tietjen Vineyard characteristics: the wine is fragrant with red berry fruit, red cherry, vanilla and a hint of eucalyptus; flavors of bright, red berry fruit and a slight earthiness follow; and the mouthfeel is medium in the attack, full-bodied, well balanced, beautifully textured with its classic long finish.
Continuing along my musical theme from above, this wine‟s opening stanza is a medley of blueberry, blackberry, floral and sweet oak tones. The chorus is lovely, the tannins laying down a solid rhythmic bass line, while the berry aromatics and dark fruit flavors entertain with an “echo” jam evoking some of the old-school boogie-woogie piano jams of old. The finish is sweet, lingering and smoky – like the last song of the evening in a downtown jazz club. – Chris Corley, Winemaker
Aromatics of juicy red fruits, toasty sweet oak and hints of vanilla. Flavors as expected follow similarly mostly noted is rich berry pie as the wine opens up – it’s our ‘everlasting gobstopper’ for the vintage. This wine once again shows nice consistency and balance throughout the entire experience – from the aromatics through to the finish. The mouth-feel is rich in texture and the finish sails on framed by firm but velvety tannins, one of the hallmarks from this long, cool vintage. This wine is drinking very well now, and should continue to develop and be enjoyed in the decade to come. – Chris Corley, Winemaker
The dark fruit and berry aromas mix beautifully with the vanilla and mocha oak
influences. I also find a nice smokiness from the toasted oak in the background;
it is a very inviting aroma. On the palate, the wine has a firm but appealing entry.
The tannins are medium in intensity and frame the rich texture beautifully. The wine
is full of dark fruit and dark chocolate flavor. With an hour or so in the glass, this
wine opens up to even more layers of fruit in both the nose and on the palate. The
finish lasts and lasts.
This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon comes from our vineyard on State Lane in Yountville. This site is planted with Clone #337 which yields tiny berries of intensely concentrated fruit and firm tannins. We’ve enjoyed using this wine over the years as both a foundation for blending and a vineyard designate offering. This is a big chewy wine, not for the faint of palate. A very dark, brooding wine with hints of Indian spices on the nose accented with creamy vanillin oak and mocha tones. The mouth-feel is rich and chewy with lots of spicy berry flavors, deep dark berry fruit and milk chocolate, coffee and cocoa flavors on the finish. This wine should be decanted for an hour prior to maximum pleasure. – Chris Corley, Winemaker

The 2009 Tietjen Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is another classic. Dark red fruit, loads of sweet vanilla and mocha oak. The texture is very rich with a big and full mid-palate and the tannins frame the wine wonderfully. The finish is long and the tannins are smooth. The wine is powerfully elegant – a trait that we have found consistently in this wine since our first Vintage in 1989.
This 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon is like a slice of Napa Valley, as it represents four vineyards spanning the valley from St. Helena to Rutherford to Yountville to our Home Ranch in Oak Knoll District. You can find elements of each appellation in the finished wine. Lush fruit from St. Helena, dusty tannins and berries from Rutherford, black berry fruits and firm tannins from Yountville, and a solid backbone from Oak Knoll District. The wine is big, with a nice attack, huge mid-palate and along lingering finish.

Depth-Defying Richness. This wine is offering fantastic primary aromas of rich, ripe red-berry fruit. I find undertones of sweet blond oak and light caramel. From front to finish, this wine is wonderfully balanced with richness in depth of body and also in character of tannins.

chocolate and lightly toasted oak. The rich, full-bodied palate provides rounded
tannins, a big mid-palate and a fantastic finish. Drink Now through 2026.
Spicy, Fragrant, Massive, Dark Berry Fruit. The Dark Side! Our Syrah is almost onyx in color with intense aromas of blackberry, espresso and spice. The traditional Syrah core of ripe black fruit is supported by well infused tannins. A pleasurable mouth full of wine that finishes forever.
The CORLEY Proprietary Red Wine represents the art of blending the depth and richness of cabernet sauvignon with the structure and spice of cabernet franc and the smooth elegance of merlot. As for 2013, I find expressive and dense aromas of dark black berries, cassis, mocha and hints of sweet toasted vanilla oak and spice tones. On the palate the full bodied wine is richly textured with robust tannins, dark ripe flavors and a finish that goes on and on. Drink from 2016-2036.
According to Jancis Robinson – “Syrah, one of the noblest black grape varieties, if nobility is
bestowed by an ability to produce serious red wines capable of aging majestically for decades.”
We think we have one for the ages!
Upon first opening, the wine has a wonderful spicy forest floor tone on the nose which evolves into dark and peppery black berry fruit aromas. These aromas are enhanced by toasted vanilla and caramel notes with hints of floral and light herb tones. On the palate, the wine is rich yet lively on the attack. A full-bodied mid-palate with well-structured tannins frame the wine nicely into the finish. The finish itself is long, with medium grain tannins and lingering flavors of boysenberry, blackberry, pepper, and vanilla.
It is a celebration of the depth that can be attained with Cabernet Franc in Oak Knoll District.
2015 remained a relatively dry growing season, and the crop yields across our different vineyards was generally lower than normal. The fruit displayed great purity and intensity, which was translated quite well through to the finished wines. The growing season was relatively consistent, with no major heat spikes. In general, the wines from 2015 are displaying ripe fruit, great structure and balance.
