Sporting plenty of slight vibrant, very pure Cabernet fruit on the nose and opening to show a trim of briary spice and an integral dollop of toasty oak, this well-filled youngster starts out similarly on the palate then takes a turn to slightly pushy tannins that are boosted in their effect by evident acidity. There are good pieces here, but additional aging is very much needed for them all to coalesce, and, if sure to benefit from three or four years, we feel confident in predicting that it will be better yet after resting for six to eight.
