Aromatically a medley of blueberry, blackberry, floral and sweet oak tones. Berry aromatics are followed by dark fruit flavors. The wine is rich and the finish is sweet, lingering and smoky.
✩✩✩✩ Four-Star (Wines of outstanding character and quality — benchmarks of their type.) 2012 Corley Proprietary Red Wine (Napa Valley), $65. Sleek, supple, utterly delish, blackberry compote and nutty oak vanillin flavors. Quarterly Review of Wine – Best of the Best 2015

✩✩✩✩+ Four Star+ The Corley Family made impressive Cabernets and blends in 2012. The 2012 Proprietary Red is a fleshy, rich, complex blend. It is full bodied and intensely flavored, with cassis, black currant, cooked beef, spicy oak, vanilla, cherry aromas/flavors. Very long, mildly tannic finish. Excellent. Ronn Wiegand, Restaurant Wine, Fall 2015
Winemaker Notes
The wine is deftly balanced on the palate introducing light, spicy accents and
hints of chocolate. A full-bodied, age worthy texture with moderate tannins makes way
for a long and lingering finish.
