The wine is fragrant with red berries, slightly spicy notes, hints of nutmeg and vanilla; flavors of dark berries, herbs and spice, hints of vanilla carry through to the palate; and the mouth-feel is very nicely balanced and rich.

As ever, for a true and pure 100% single vineyard bottling, this Vintage 2010 exhibits all the classic Tietjen Vineyard characteristics: The Tietjen Vineyard expresses itself with moderately dark fruit and elegant tannins on the mid-palate. This has made it one of the consistently great wines for us to work with in terms of both blending and as a stand-alone vineyard designate. 6 Barrels Produced. Drink Now through 2025. Decanting Always Recommended (30-60 minutes).
